About Robert Lewandowski
Robert Lewandowski is the greatest Polish footballer of all time and one of the most prolific goalscorers the game has ever seen. He scored 344 goals in 375 Bundesliga games and set the all-time single-season Bundesliga record with 41 goals in 2020-21. A complete modern striker — clinical, technically superb and physically dominant.
Robert Lewandowski's story
Dortmund to Bayern
Lewandowski emerged at Lech Poznań before Jürgen Klopp brought him to Borussia Dortmund in 2010, where he formed part of a title-winning attack and became one of Europe's most feared strikers. He joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer in 2014, one of the most significant moves in Bundesliga history.
The Bayern Years
At Bayern, Lewandowski won eight consecutive Bundesliga titles and lifted the Champions League as part of Hansi Flick's treble-winning side in 2020. He was, for a spell in that period, arguably the outstanding footballer on the planet, in a year when the Ballon d'Or itself was cancelled due to Covid-19.
Barcelona: Four Trophy-Laden Years
Aged 33, Lewandowski joined Barcelona in 2022 and immediately topped the La Liga scoring charts. Across four seasons he scored 119 goals in 191 appearances, winning three La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups, before departing in May 2026 saying his "mission was complete."
A New Chapter in MLS
His next move took him outside Europe for the first time in a career spent almost entirely in the Bundesliga and La Liga. After a quiet start in MLS, he scored a brace on his Soldier Field home debut, only the fourth player in Fire history to do so, and has since fired the club to six straight wins, their best run since 1998.

- 🏆 He scored all four goals in Borussia Dortmund's 4-1 Champions League semi-final first-leg win over Real Madrid on 24 April 2013 (starting the match, not coming off the bench), the only player in the competition's history to score four goals in a single semi-final.
- 👨👩👧👧 Married to Anna Lewandowska, a karate world championship medallist and fitness entrepreneur. They have two daughters and are one of the most recognisable sporting couples in Europe.
- 🥇 He won The Best FIFA Men's Player award in both 2020 and 2021, and many believe he should have won the 2020 Ballon d'Or too, the year it was cancelled due to the pandemic.

- 🍰 One of football's most superstitious players: he eats dessert before his main course on match days and always puts his left boot on first, both routines built around his wife Anna's nutrition and psychology advice.
- 🔥 Fire fans and Chicago media have already coined a nickname for their new number 9: "Lewangoalski", after he opened his MLS account with a headline-making start to life at Soldier Field.
