Takefusa Kubo's story
The La Masia Prodigy
Born in Kawasaki (JPN), Kubo moved to Spain at the age of ten to join FC Barcelona (ESP)'s La Masia academy, where he became a prolific scorer and quickly developed a reputation as Japan's most exciting young talent. FIFA regulations forced his return to Japan at 14, but the Barcelona grounding had shaped him as a player.
Real Madrid & La Liga

After loan spells at Mallorca (ESP), Villarreal (ESP), Getafe (ESP) and Real Sociedad in San Sebastián (ESP), he made his move to Real Sociedad permanent in 2022 and emerged as one of La Liga's most creative wingers.
Japan's Talisman
