Jayden Bogle's story

Released at 14

Bogle began at Southcote Colts and then the Reading academy, but was released at 14. He spent ten months at Swindon Town before Derby County's youth set-up took him on, on 20 January 2016, as he prepared to leave full-time education.

Derby Beginnings

Born in Reading on 27 July 2000, Bogle came through at Derby County and made his senior debut in an EFL Cup win at Oldham Athletic in August 2018. He was named Derby's Young Player of the Season in 2018-19 and won four England Under-20 caps.

Bramall Lane

Sheffield United signed him in 2020 and he scored on his league debut against Brighton that December. He helped the Blades to promotion as Championship runners-up in 2022-23, scoring 10 goals in 88 league games across four seasons.

Champions with Leeds

He joined Leeds United in 2024 and had the season of his career in 2024-25: a career-high six goals as Leeds won the Championship title, earning a place in both the EFL Team of the Season and the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

Premier League Leeds

He scored his first Premier League goal for Leeds in a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest on 6 February 2026 and signed a new contract to June 2030 on 20 August 2026. His form in September 2026 earned a nomination for Premier League Player of the Month.
