About Clarence Seedorf
Clarence Seedorf is the only player in history to win the UEFA Champions League with three different clubs — Ajax (1995), Real Madrid (1998), and AC Milan (2003, 2007). A powerful, versatile midfielder from Suriname who became a Dutch national, he combined physical dominance with technical quality across two decades at the top of the European game.
Clarence Seedorf's story
Suriname to Amsterdam
Seedorf was born in Paramaribo, Suriname, and moved to the Netherlands as a child, growing up in Amsterdam (NED). He joined Ajax at 16 and was so immediately impressive that he debuted in the first team at 16 years and 334 days — making him one of the youngest Ajax debutants in history.
The Champions League Conqueror
No other player has won the UEFA Champions League with three different clubs. Ajax in 1995, Real Madrid in 1998, AC Milan in 2003 and 2007 — Seedorf was present and often decisive in all of these. His ability to raise his game in knockout football made him one of the most valued big-game players of his generation.
Coaching and Activism
After retiring in 2014, Seedorf became a manager — first at AC Milan for three months, then the Cameroon national team at the 2019 AFCON. He is also a prominent advocate for player rights and anti-racism campaigns in European football.
